dronesense 3D Robotics Solo Drone Pre-Release Review and Test Flight at NAB 2015

While at NAB 2015 this year, we had the unexpected, yet very exciting opportunity to be the only training site to fly the yet to be released 3D Robotics Solo drone. We were anxious to see the drone in action, and even more thrilled to get to actually test it out. Needless to say, we were thoroughly impressed with not only the UAVs handling, power and speed, but with 3DR's thoughtfulness in putting this potentially game changing drone.

With DJI just releasing the Phantom 3, we were able to get a good feel and comparison of these two UAVs. DJI purests are going to try to stay loyal and true to the DJI products. But a healthy, unbiased look at the 3DR Solo drone should leave you feeling like you, at the very least, need to give this drone a serious look. This is especially the case if you are looking at purchasing a new drone (or if you just want a new one).
